How we clean carpets
Vacuum
A thorough vacuum with industrial machines lifts the loose grit first.
Pre-treat and brush
Stains are pre-treated and brushed so the dirt lets go of the fibres.
Extract and dry
Extraction cleaning pulls the dirt and water out, which also speeds up drying.
What we clean
At home: fitted carpets and loose rugs.
For businesses: fitted carpets, boardrooms and rugs. For busy commercial carpets we can also use encapsulation, a low-water method where a product draws the dirt up so it can be vacuumed away.
Drying time
In winter, allow about five hours before the carpet is fully dry. In warm weather it’s usually two to three hours. Opening windows helps, and we can use fans if needed.
Stains
Fresh stains come out far more easily. Wine and blood in particular should be cleaned within 48 hours. After that they can set for good. Pet accidents and food spills are usually fine if they’re dealt with early.
What affects the price
Carpets are priced on size first. How long since the last clean, how dirty they are, how old the stains are and where you are in Cape Town also play a part. Tell us roughly how many rooms or square metres on the form and we’ll come back to you with a quote.

What is the best way to deep clean a carpet?
In our experience, extraction cleaning. Steam alone can leave dirt behind in the pile, and it tends to work its way back up.
How long until I can walk on it?
About five hours in winter and two to three hours in warm weather.
Are the products safe for children and pets?
Yes. Our carpet and rug products are safe around children and pets. If you’d like to keep pets off the carpet afterwards, we can treat it for that too.
Can you get out red wine or pet stains?
Usually, if they’re cleaned within 48 hours. Older wine and blood stains are much harder and sometimes won’t come out completely.
How often should carpets be cleaned?
Twice a year works well for most homes. If they look dirty sooner, there’s no need to wait.
