Our upholstery cleaning process
We use extraction cleaning for all upholstery. Vacuuming alone only takes off the surface dust.
Vacuum
Every piece is vacuumed to lift dust and loose soil.
Spray and wait
The fabric is sprayed and left for a few minutes so the product can work.
Extract and dry
We extract the dirt, then go over it again to pull out extra water so it dries faster.

Why not do it yourself?
Household detergents can change the colour of upholstery fabric, or leave a ring once they dry. Getting the dirt out of the padding, and not just the top layer, needs extraction equipment.
Smells and stains
Odours are the most common problem we’re called in for, especially on sofa arms and cushions. We use a product that neutralises smells alongside the stain treatment. Spills should be dealt with as soon as possible. Old wine and blood stains can become permanent.
Upholstery cleaning questions
How is this different from vacuuming?
Vacuuming takes the dust off the surface. It doesn’t shift stains or the dirt that sits deep in the fabric and padding.
What fabrics can you clean?
All types of fabric except leather.
Will cleaning damage my furniture?
No. We check the fabric first and choose the approach to suit it.
How long does it take to dry?
Up to five hours in winter and usually about three in spring and summer. The fabric and how well the room is ventilated make a difference.
How often should upholstery be cleaned?
About every six months. With pets or small children, every three months, or whenever it looks like it needs it.
