What we clean before you move in
Every home carries a bit of the last people who lived there. We clean that out so you’re unpacking into a place that smells like nobody.
- Kitchen cupboards, counters and floors, with grease taken off every surface
- Oven and fridge cleaned inside, plus any other appliances that stay
- Toilets sanitised, showers scrubbed and bathroom surfaces disinfected
- Floors dusted, vacuumed and mopped
- Window sills, and windows inside and out where we can reach
- Mould taken off walls and ceilings where it has started
- Built-in cupboards cleaned inside before your things go in
Moving out instead?
We do the same clean for the place you’re leaving. See end of tenancy cleaning for what the inspection usually looks at. If you need both homes done, put both suburbs in the message box and we’ll quote them together.
Empty homes and moving days
Most move in cleans happen in an empty house or flat. It’s easier to move around, but there’s more open floor and wall to get through.
Timing matters on moving day, especially if the truck is parked outside. We send enough people to finish within about five hours, so the movers can start bringing things in.
Before we arrive
- Make sure we can get in, or arrange for someone to let us in
- Leave the water and electricity on
- Switch the fridge off the day before if it needs defrosting
- Tell us about anything that must not be touched
Move in cleaning questions
How long does a move in clean take?
It depends on the size of the property. We send enough of the team to finish within about five hours.
What is the difference between move in cleaning and end of tenancy cleaning?
A move in clean gets a home ready for the people arriving. An end of tenancy clean is for the person leaving, before the keys go back. The cleaning itself is very similar.
Do you clean inside the oven and fridge?
Yes. Any appliances that are there on the day are cleaned and sanitised inside and out.
How far ahead should I book?
A week ahead is ideal. If it’s urgent, get in touch anyway and we’ll try to make a plan.
Are your cleaners vetted and insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is fully vetted and trusted to work without supervision, and we’re fully insured.
Do I need to supply anything?
No. The team brings all the products and equipment.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No. We just need a way in when we arrive. Please be back, or have someone there, when we finish so the place can be locked up.
