What’s included
An end of tenancy clean is a deep clean of the whole inside of the home. We move furniture where we can and clean under and behind it. Our checklists were put together from the kind of lists estate agents use, so the usual inspection points are covered.
- Kitchen cupboards, appliances, counters and floors, with grease taken off every surface
- The oven cleaned inside if it stays for the next tenant
- Toilets sanitised, showers scrubbed and every bathroom surface disinfected
- Floors dusted, vacuumed and mopped
- Window sills cleaned, and windows done inside and out where we can reach
- Walls, skirtings, doors and light switches wiped down
- Built-in cupboards cleaned inside and out
Not included unless you ask
Outside areas are a different service, and so is the garage. If you need either, mention it in your request and we’ll price it in.
Empty or furnished
Most of these cleans happen in an empty home, between one tenant and the next. An empty house usually costs a little less than a furnished one. It’s still a deep clean, though. There’s actually more open floor and wall to get through when the furniture is gone.
Tell us on the form whether the place will be empty and we’ll price it properly.
How long it takes
An average end of tenancy clean takes around five hours. A bigger place, or one that has been lived in hard, takes longer. Your quote will include how long we expect to be there, so you can plan the key handover around it.
You don’t need to stay while we clean. We just need to get in, and someone has to be there at the end to lock up.
Room by room
Kitchen
Cupboards and drawers cleaned inside and out. Splashback, hob and extractor fan degreased. The oven gets a proper clean if it’s built in and staying. Sink and taps polished, and we clean behind the appliances we can move.
Bathrooms
Bath, toilet, shower and basin descaled. Shower heads, mirrors and taps polished. Walls and floor scrubbed to lift mould and marks, with the ceiling, extractor fan, door and handles done too.
Bedrooms and living areas
Shelves, light fittings and skirtings dusted. Walls washed with sugar soap to take off marks. Built-in cupboards cleaned inside and wiped outside. Floors cleaned in the way that suits the floor.
End of tenancy cleaning questions
Are your cleaners vetted and insured?
Yes. Every cleaner is fully vetted and trusted to work without supervision, and we’re fully insured.
Do I need to supply anything?
No. The team brings all the products and equipment, including vacuums and ladders.
What does an end of tenancy clean include?
It’s a deep clean of every room inside the home, following our checklists: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, dining room, scullery and the rest. Outside areas and the garage aren’t included unless you ask for them.
How long does it take?
Around five hours on average. It depends on the size of the home and how much there is to do, and the quote tells you how long we expect it to take.
How far ahead should I book?
Whenever you’re ready. If another company has let you down at the last minute, get in touch and we’ll try to make a plan.
Are your products safe for pets and children?
Yes. We use products that are safe to use around pets and children.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No. We just need a way in when we arrive. Please be back, or have someone there, when we finish so the place can be locked up.
How many cleaners will you send?
That depends on how much there is to do. A bigger home or a heavier clean gets a bigger team, and we’ll tell you when we send the quote.
