The Green Suburb
Kirstenhof: Named for a Family, Not a Place
Kirstenhof takes its name from the Kirsten family, who inherited the land from Hendrik van der Poll. Set against the Constantiaberg mountains and bordered by Lakeside, Tokai and Bergvliet, the suburb sits close to the Tokai Arboretum, a National Monument holding over 270 tree species, and the Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve.
Outdoor Adventures
The Tokai Arboretum and the famed Elephant’s Eye Cave hike are both close by, along with numerous wetlands and hiking trails that make the most of the Constantiaberg backdrop.
Food and Dining
Kirstenhof itself is fairly quiet on the dining front, with Tokai and the Constantia wine route both a short drive away for a wider choice.
Family Friendly Activities
Kirstenhof is known for family-sized properties at relatively affordable prices for the area, with a welcoming, tight-knit community and easy access to the M3 for commuting.
Nightlife and Culture
Life here is quiet and nature-focused rather than nightlife-driven, Muizenberg and Claremont are the nearest options for something busier.

Green Surroundings, Thorough Cleaning
Homes near Kirstenhof’s wetlands and forest can pick up more dust and pollen than most, we factor that into every clean.
